Each year in January the Lincoln County Jr Livestock Association holds a "sale of champions". this is where the 4-H and FFA members are given the chance to auction off their market animal. Business owners from Brookhaven and surrounding areas come out to support these kids. Last year was a bit more dramatic for my little ones than this year was. No tears, no fits. I was so proud. This was john-rivers first year to auction one of his own animals. He still looks so tiny up next to those big steers. his 50# up next to a 1070# steer.
