LAYNES'S BIGGEST FANS

October was a busy month for us. It was a great month! It started out with the MS StateFair. Thats always fun for the kids. of coarse i only made one day due to work. So grateful for my parents in times like that. Honestly I think my dad has as much fun as the children do. Layne did very well in his shows. ALWAYS room for improvement. Im sure he was glad i wasnt there to correct his methods in the show ring. Ramsey and JR had fun too. I love that they get to experience this part of the fair as well as the midway part of things.
I have been redoing the floors in my house. NO MORE CARPET!!!! Carpet and kids dont mix. JR wanted me to leave the furniture out of the living room so he could play wall ball in there all the time. Um NOOO..... but it was fun while it lasted. He dropped his homework in wet paint one day. I would have paid money to see his teachers face when she heard that excuse. Im sure it was hard to believe. Even with the evidence in his hand.
October is always a great month of weather in Mississippi. The children spend a lot of their little spare time outside. Climbing trees seems to be Ramsey's new pass time.  I just watch prayfully that she doesnt fall. No stopping her.
Lets not forget the Corn Maze by flashlight.  Ard's Dairy has done a great job at developing agriturism here in our part of MS. The children, Josh, and some of our friends all did the corn maze by flashlight one Saturday night. Had a blast. Fun for all. We will definitly go again next year.
Our annual trip to the Halloween store was a blast. As always. I may spend a little to much money, but the fun we have while we are there makes it worth it.  Halloween pictures to follow.
Here are a few pictures from our October memories.

Firmly on the Ground

Layne is growing up so fast. But i really wish he could do all this growing with his feet planted firmly on the ground. He loves to hunt. It scares me to see pictures like this. I told him the other day that it is to his disadvantage that I'm an ER nurse. I'm sure most people see this picture and see a handsome young man having the time of his life. But all i see is my baby way to far up in a tree and all the danger that goes with that. I pray daily that my knowledge about trauma doesn't make me hold them back. But I would really love to put a safety net under this tree!!!!!!!!!!
