John-Rivers walking out of he house with a machete.
ME: where are you going with that.
JR: Layne needs it at the game plot.
ME: I'm not comfortable with you having that.
(in the mean time Ramsey is distracting me with her head in the frig)
Ramsey, what are you doing?
RB:getting Layne a snack, he is hungry.
I don't know how Layne got Moe and curly to cater to him today. But i will take it. Because no one is fighting!!!!
Life gets busy. Calendars and schedules clash. These are moments that i never want to forget. Here i go, learning to Juggle Gracefully!

The Princess Plays Soccer
Well here is the update. Ramsey LOVES soccer. And i must brag just a little bit. She is so good! I was shocked....never dreamed she would get out there and run the show. She is somewhat of a ball hog. But she is 5, so i am hoping the "work as a team" lesson will come with time.

SLOW!
Today as we were riding the river and saying our goodbyes to summer, i saw something i have never seen before. A road sign standing in the middle of the sandbar. I know that someone probably put it there to caution people. You see, the terrain has changed greatly with our last tropical depression and flood. To me the sign triggered a different thought. I watched my boys riding their 4-wheeler in front of us, and Ramsey sitting between Josh and I on the Razor. I tried my best to make time stand still for just a few seconds. And I immediately thought, slow down everybody.....stop growing up so fast........these are the days i will remember......these are the memories i will cherish!!!!! Warning signs are everywhere. SLOW down.....ENJOY LIFE!!!!! Because you only get one ride.

few and far between
Today was one of those days that are few and far between for the Brown family. A day where the calendar was empty. Started off with church, then our Sunday afternoon nap. (I LOVE TO TAKE NAPS). Then off to the park for a picnic and a little football toss, and ending with Frisbee. I taught Layne to tackle, and he got me back with a body slam. Ouch.....my hip is killing me. I will be feeling that for the next few days. Our games always get competitive for some reason. Still fun!!!!! Ramsey is was getting pretty good at throwing Frisbee before our family fun day ended. Sorry, no pictures. I left the camera at home on this one so i could enjoy the park without keeping up with the equipment. Back home we go with our movies and popcorn to end our day snuggled up in our PJ's on the couch for movie night. LOVE LOVE LOVE these kiddos. And movie night is so much more exciting to the kids with our new surround song, complements of Mr. Josh Branning. Thanks sugar. Looking forward to more fall fun soon.

Hey Lee (aka The Super Soaker) here we come!!!!
Well I promised Ramsey her first trip to the beach this year. But as always the summer got away from us and September is already here. I kept my promise and we were beach bound, in the peak of hurricane season and in the middle of a tropical storm. Not just any tropical storm. Tropical Storm Lee, nicknamed the super soaker. I tried my best not to stress over this in the week prior to our trip. But i wanted my babies to have a great time. So i did make myself a little sick worrying. Lucky for me we did have a great time. I actually enjoyed experiencing the beach during a storm. Ramsey prayed before we left to have one pretty day to look for sea shells and build a sand castle. God answered my sweet girls prayers. Saturday was stormy and windy but we got just enough of a break to find fabulous shells that were brought in by the huge 7ft waves. All 3 kiddos really had a great time fighting the 30 mph winds to find natures treasures. Sunday there was very little rain and the sun was peaking around the clouds. Great day for playing in the waves, building castles, and burying each other in the sand. The boys even got in a little football. In between the rain storms we all enjoyed the heated indoor pool(my favorite part) I was very pleased with the way our trip turned out. The ride home is a story all on itson, that i don't care to ever relive. HA! But hey, no trip can be complete without at least one glitch right.
