FALL.....BALL!!!!
For me this means nursing football injuries at work and at home. Layne has practiced hard all summer. He has had some bruises, scratches, sore muscles, joint pain, cuts, and a black eye. But he keeps going back for more without a single complaint. I cant express how proud i am of him for that. Because its HOT yall! The team has stuck together thru having no coach.....then losing a coach after only a short time. AND then getting another new coach. I wish these boys the best of luck during this season. So far it is starting out rough. I just hope their love for the game keeps their heads up thru their losses. I will be there in the stands thru all the losses and the wins, cheering these boys on. GO MAROON AND GOLD!!!!!
Also for me Fall Ball means the start of soccer! The other football for some. Both Ramsey and John-Rivers are playing this year and its so much fun. We haven't had our first game yet so stay posted to see how the little princess likes her first year of contact sports. LOL......with her pink shin guards.
Life gets busy. Calendars and schedules clash. These are moments that i never want to forget. Here i go, learning to Juggle Gracefully!

OMG!!!!!!Ramsey is a Yellow Jacket
I cant believe my baby girl started "big girl" school this year! I HATE IT!!!!!!!!! I love our little one on one time together while the boys are at school. I will miss her so much. Time flies. It seems like just last week i was bringing her home for the very first time. And what is even more sad, i know from experience that once they start school the clock seems to tick even faster. But she is excited(now that she has her new backpack). The dreaded day i woke up and almost immediately began tearing up. I fixed her lunch and then woke her up first just so i could hold her and rock her for a few minutes before the day had to really begin. She normally doesn't like to be rocked, but i think she knew how sad i was so she let me hold on for a few extra minutes. We made it to school and I walked her to class. AND I LEFT! The hallway back to the parking lot seemed so long. In my head i was saying don't cry, just get to the car first, you can do this, all these people in the hall are watching you, no one else is crying, not even the children. NOPE.....i didn't make it, I cried in the hallway! Not as strong as i thought. I don't mind getting older, and i don't mind them getting older, i just wish i could put it all in slow motion sometimes. John-Rivers started the 2nd grade. He was ready to go. And OMG........one more time, Layne is a 9th grader. Really Lord, high school already! Didn't he just start school a few years ago. Anyway, we are back to school and full force. Its time to juggle!

Mardi Gras In The Dirt
Neshobia County Fair 2011 was a blast, as always! This year it was wet and muddy. It normally rains at least one day, but this year it rained nearly the whole opening weekend. It didn't rain out the fun tho. The loyalty of the fair goers was tested and the strong survived. The children made the most of the mud with mud pies and Mississippi mud fights on the race track. The entertainment went on. And the food gets better every year. I used to say David(bro-in-law) was the best griller in the south. But now that they live north of the mason Dixon i can say he is the best all around. I think i will request he cook at least one meal during Christmas this year. Layne found the girls this year and i saw even less of him than usual. HA HA! I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS WEEK WITH MY YANKEE FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Josh was able to come this year which made this year special to me. AND this was the year we beat our record, packed up and ready to roll before 8am on Saturday morning. Hey you guys we get better each year! Its a long week, and I'm always ready to come home. But i always anticipate next year. This event is really hard to describe to those that have never been. I think everyone should have the chance to experience "Mardi Gras in the dirt" at least once in the their lifetime.
