PUT ME IN COACH, IM READY TO PLAY, TODAY!

Take me out to the ballgame folks. Layne wraps up his season just in time for the babies to start theirs. Dixie Youth Baseball. Dirty faces, messy hair, missing flip flops, summer time friends, pickles, nachos, the clapping of the crowd, bleachers, bo bos, and every mom turning around simultaneously to a child yelling "MOMMA", yes my friends its the ball park, it is finally BASEBALL SEASON. This is a great and busy time of the year for my kiddos. Some times our games will overlap and i miss some for work. But their is no place i would rather be this time of year. These are the days where my children will meet and make life long friends. John-Rivers loves baseball. His first game was cancelled due to the weather, his response was, "well that's just super, my day is ruined" LOL. There isn't any other way to describe it, ROOT....ROOT....ROOT....for the home team. If they don't win its a shame. Its 1......2.....3......strikes your out at the old ball game.

GIRLS.....GIRLS.....GIRLS!!!!

This past weekend was the first annual Girls Trip! My bestie of besties Julie Ard and I headed out early. Even the road trip was great. Music and the windows down, catching up on each others lives. I am so lucky to have this girl in my life. She knows everything about me and yet has never judged me in any way. Complete comfort zone all the way to OBA.  We had time to lay by the pool while we waited on the other girls.  I almost felt guilty to be so relaxed.  When Jesse arrived we hit Lu Lu's. Julie was right it is not just a place, IT IS A STATE OF MIND. Anna finally arrived. Note Anna lives in world Anna, on Anna time.....but this is one of the things that makes her unique.  Laughter was not something that was lacking on this night.  The next day the farmers daughters were up at 7am.....this is thanks to our fathers who thought it was against the law to sleep late. BEACH BOUND.....all day at the beach doing absolutely nothing. More laughter, more talking, more bonding. (i must slip this in so i don't forget it later in life, Anna cant pee in moving water) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! oh and Julie insisted that there was no such thing as getting sun burnt with a 100% cloud coverage. FYI- she was wrong. NOW  time for my first trip to Florabama. We all looked beautiful might i add.  Dancing the night away, I'm pretty sure i burnt 7329 calories on the dance floor with Julie.  Our time here was too short. Last day....back to Lu Lu's, and shopping. Another lesson learned, don't leave your phone charger plugged in for 3 days without cranking your car. I'm so glad my Jules is from the country and owns jumper cables! Now its home sweet home. Oh how i have missed my babies.

OH PRAISE THE LORD IT IS SPRING!!!!

The grass is green again and the leaves are growing on the trees. Oh how i have missed the color green.  Soon my yard will be filled with a multitude of color. Today I bought trees and bushes for a new flower bed. Layne was not very enthusiastic about having to dig gigantic holes for these trees, but being the sweet man of the house he did. I do things in stages due to my work schedule, but eventually i will complete this bed. My yard is just like me, a continuous work in progress.
