We Dance
I don't really know when or how this all started. So you watch a movie with your kids. Cute movie ends and the credits start scrolling up the screen while playing a song that was played at some point in the movie but no one really noticed it then. The average person gets up and either turns the movie off or changes the channel. NOT US!!!!! We dance! I didn't think of this as anything special for a long time. But then one day it donned on me. Hm.....we aren't normal people, the credits matter to us. The movie was great, but the credits at the end of the movie helped form a precious memory. I will be sad when my little people stop asking me to dance at the movies!

.......says
Ramsey can come up with the funniest saying. my fav are the ones that dont come directly from her, the ones she has heard but she messes them up when she repeats them. i love my one on one time with her. She gets out of school at 1145, so we have several girl hours before the boys get off the school bus everyday. today when we get home from school we plop down on the sofa together with remote in hand. she asked what time it was and how long we had till the boys came home. i answered. then she let out this long sigh and she said......."ah the peace and the quiet". i couldn't help but laugh. i am going to miss our little time we have alone with each other when she goes off to BIG school next year. they grow up way too fast

Mississippi's Giant House Party
Since I was 16 years old i have attended The Neshobia Co Fair....aka MS Giant House Party. It is absolutely the hottest and best week of the year. We sit around on swings and broil in the MS humidity while stuffing our faces with enough food to feed a 3rd world country. Its an entire week that i get to spend with my sister, bro-in-law, and nephew. Since they live across the US from me it is very nice to just sit and visit. The kids are pretty much turned loose when we walk through the gate. (with in reason of coarse) Layne is rarely seen, usually only when he is hungry or sleepy, or out of money. John-Rivers has made friends with the cabin next door. calling them aunt, uncle, and granny, ect. They have pretty much adopted him. Thank goodness they are just next door or i would never see him either. Ramsey is still my baby tho. Cant really turn her loose yet. So she hangs at the Moore cabin with me and the rest of the Moore family. YES>>I consider myself a Moore for the week. The kids play football on the race track after the horse races are over for the day. or just build dirt piles and see how much MS red mud they can paint onto their little bodies. NEVER EVER bring any good clothes to fair. It never comes clean. There are activities during the day for the kids....art contest, pots and pan marching parades, ect. Then we gather with friends and family to eat a fabulous supper. Then there is the musical festivities of the night. sometimes it is the band at the grand stand or maybe the band next door. Its always fun to listen to the music no matter where it is coming from. I will have to get the chair race on video for the blog next year. Packing up is never fun. I start getting sad that the week is almost over as soon as we start. This is an amazing week that is filled with great memories every year. I have only missed one year (JR was born during fair week) and i hope i never have to miss another. Thanks to the Moore's for there hospitality, and for always saying Y'all Come Back Now!!!!!!
